How to Secretly View Someone's WhatsApp Status

Aside from Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, I think WhatsApp is another widely used social media application. It has an inbuilt feature that allows users to share pictures, short videos, and links. This feature is known as WhatsApp Status View. Without implementing WhatsApp Privacy settings, all your contacts can view your WhatsApp status update if they find it interesting and subsequently save your updates using WhatsApp status saver. You can also find them reposting your status updates on their WhatsApp status.

In the same way, you can view the WhatsApp status of your friends or those in your WhatsApp contact list. However, it is important to note that if you are blocked by anybody on WhatsApp m, or removed from their viewers list using WhatsApp Privacy settings, you will not be able to see the updates on their WhatsApp status anymore.

Have you ever thought of secretly viewing the status updates of your friends on WhatsApp? It feels like a strange thought anyway, yet some of us have thought about it several times and probably, we couldn't proceed with the execution of this though simply because we have no idea how to get it done. Well, you are in the right place, and in this article, we will show you how to view someone's status on Whatsapp without letting them know.

Is it possible to view someone's WhatsApp status without letting them know?

Yes, it is very much possible. You can view someone's status on Whatsapp and they won't know that you are viewing their status updates. Your reasons are best known to you, and you can also disable this setting anytime you want. Just follow the steps below and you are good to go.

How to View Someone's WhatsApp Status Without Them Knowing

WhatsApp is automatically programmed to record your views anytime you view someone's status on Whatsapp. To put an end to this auto-programmed feature, follow the steps below.

1. Disable Read Receipts

This is an effective method to view someone's WhatsApp status without letting them know. The views of other users will be recorded on their WhatsApp status, but your own view will not be recorded.

Step 1: Open your WhatsApp application

Step 2: Once the app opens, you will find three dotted lines on it, tap on it.

Step 3: A drop-down menu displaying some options will show up, click on settings.

Step 4: Once you click on settings, another list of options will appear. Click on account.

Step 5: Now, select privacy once the next list of options appears.

Step 6: After step 5, you will find a new list of options showing on your screen. One of them is the Read Receipts Option.

Step 7: Just turn off the Read Receipts button, this way, it is disabled permanently until you turn it on again.

Once you disable this feature on your WhatsApp account, you can freely view the statuses of others on your WhatsApp account and they will not detect your views. But be rest assured that you will not also be able to see the views of others on your WhatsApp account.

2. View WhatsApp Statuses Only When You Go Offline

You can also use this second method if you don't want to disable Read Receipts on your WhatsApp account. Although, this method is a bit stressful and barely reliable.

Step 1: Open your WhatsApp application and don't click on any WhatsApp status for at least five minutes.

Step 2: In five minutes, the status updates would have loaded. Now, disconnect your data or internet connection.

Step 3: You can now reopen your WhatsApp and start viewing the already loaded WhatsApp statuses of your friends.

Step 4: Your views may not be recorded because you are offline.

The issue with this second method is that sometimes not all WhatsApp statuses are viewable when you switch off your data connection. Statuses involving videos and some high-quality photos may not load when you switch off your data connection. And sometimes, your views may be detected when you switch on your data connection. This second method is not effective, go for the first.
